Let’s Start a (Pretend) War!

For the last few years, I’m always slightly uneasy around the 4th, if for no other reason than my brain refusing to shut out the idea that a goodly chunk of the world is hearing the same sounds, but with the added effect of real bullets/mortars/bombs.  I’m just fun like that.  Apparently I’m not the only one, as Brotherhood 2.0‘s John Green explores the same topic (though in much more humorous and not-so-damn-depressing manner) in his lastest video blog post to Hank.

Heh.  Well if it wasn’t for almost constant war mongering, the United States would not be the lovely bastion of freedom we enjoy today.

I never know whether I should cry or laugh at thoughts like that.
