A Gentleman’s Duel

The Venice, California animation house Blur Studio‘s new short ‘A Gentleman’s Duel’ has been quickly sweeping the internet as of late, and with good reason.  This gentleman-caller vs. gentleman caller fight gets a serious kick in the pants via some hardcore Steampunk Gundam action.  Sadly, high quality versions are in short supply (Blur’s own site only offers a teaser trailer), but I’ll continue trying to track one down.  Otherwise, enjoy some sweet Victorian Steampunk action.

Super thanks to long-time Buddha pal, Alan, for the heads up.

I would have to agree.  what a great animated short.  Steam punk was never really given a chance and this shows it.

I forgot to add they did the Warhammer FRPG movie.  That is a great game trailer.  One of the best in my humble estimation.

Blur studios, run in part by the ass Tim Miller, has put a lot of effort as of late into ensuring that everywhere this little animation short has been posted has had it removed.

One of Tim’s many exchanges with people who really could just as easily be ignored as anything http://www.fuckedcompany.com/extras/blur_email.cfm

I wonder if this is as much a viral marketing ploy as anything. By leaking it and then being forceful in it’s removal from all sites hype is created, people search for it, it becomes a goal.
