Halo - LandfallI’m surprised that it’s taken me this long to hear of Halo: Landfall, considering it marks the ‘live action’ debut of the game world. Doubly surprising when you factor in that these were directed by Neill Blomkamp, the man who may or may not be directing the up-in-the-air big budget film adaptation of the game series. Originally released as three short films (Arms Race, Combat, and Last Man Standing), the shorts were put together and released via the XBox Live Marketplace at the end of October.

You can watch the entire 7 minute clip in rather high quality over at Gametrailers.

Those of you who’ve been hanging around Transbuddha for a while should have some familiarity with Blomkamp’s work, as a) his primary focus is robots, and b) his stuff is universally awesome.
