The Mindset List – Class of 2011

A little late to the party, I do love me some lists. Mindset lists are pretty commonplace, most often they’re given to teachers and professions to better illustrate the cultural changes and gaps between generations. Personally, I just like them because it’s an interesting way to look at history.

Here’s the Beloit College Mindset list of the Class of 2011, that was handed out to professors before the start of the Fall semester.

My favorite bits:

MTV has never featured music videos.
“Off the hook” has never had anything to do with a telephone.

And most unsettling:
Tiananmen Square is a 2008 Olympics venue, not the scene of a massacre.
