New Line Cinema: A Look Back

New Line CinemaSaturday saw the announcement that New Line Cinema was being fully absorbed into its parent company Warner Bros, effectively ending their 40 year run. I’m a bit sad for that, considering it was New Line that brought so many great little projects to the screen while still churning out crappy horror sequel after crappy horror sequel. But really, if it was Nightmare on Elm Street: Freddy’s Dead and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: The Secret if the Ooze that put My Private Idaho and Glengary Glen Ross on the screen then so be it.

Cinematical takes a look back at New Line’s Golden Age, making me wonder if Warner Bros is fully aware of what they’re doing.
