Apparently a Sony Bravia ad came and went completely under my radar. Let’s address that oversight with a quick look at Pyramid, which might be the first one I have really dug since the original.
1) the wide shots are composites, which sucks. a lot. the whole power (for me) to these ads is seeing something massive and real and extremely hard, which the other bravia ads have been.
2) there is a new ad, filmed recently, that features some sort of foam block party with bloggers, as best i can tell.
Yah, with each subsequent ad they’ve relied on more and more composite shots, which is just sad. The play-doh rabbits one pretty much heralded the end of the ‘we really did this’ efforts, I’m sure.
I did like the concept of this one, however.
And yah, it was seeing the teaser bits of the new one that brought Pyramid to my attention.
