Got a Canon Point-and-Shoot camera? Lifehacker has the lowdown on how to unleash the surprising array of options hidden by the camera’s software.
I’m now running CHDK on my A540, and let me tell you: It’s pretty sweet. The live histogram is a dream, as is shooting in RAW format. The Lifehacker article has a nice overview of what CHDK is capable of, but if you prefer to dig right in you might just skip the gloss and head over to the CHDK Wiki, where you’ll find all manner of scripts and tutorials.
Man, as if I didn’t take enough photos already…
