50 Most Memorable Movie CarsIn the lead up to the release of the already forgotten Speed Racer, Rotten Tomatoes went all list-y with a rundown of the 50 Most Memorable Movie cars, and while they fudged things a bit (such as giving TV-inspired film cars the same weight as the original), at the very least it’s a run down of some seriously cool cinema dream-wheels.

Pictured is Fozzie the Bear’s uncle’s 1951 Studebaker Commander from The Muppet Movie. I chose that for the image not because it’s particularly cool (though it is), but because it leads me to wonder a great number of things regarding Fozzie’s uncle.

Oh, no no no… Time for someone to watch The Muppet Movie again. The Studebaker was re-painted by Dr. Teeth and The Electric Mayhem band about a quarter of the way into the movie. There’s a song (Can You Picture That) and everything. The whole paint job is for one sight gag, and shortly afterwards they trade the Studebaker for another car after Gonzo’s jalopy ends up on top of the Studebaker.

Fozzie’s uncle actually left him the car (he’s hibernating), it’s a snazzy car even with the original paint job.
