Saturday Night Live started off its Fall season with what will probably be the closest the show gets to biting satire all year: Tina Fey and Amy Pohler effectively nailing everything that’s wrong with the Sarah Palin VP pick and why it’s not the monumental advance for women we’d like it to be.

Watch it.

I’ve avoided posting 99% of the most aggravating election cycle news items not because I don’t care, but because my exposure level is so much that I’m dreaming about politics every night. It’s a little annoying.

Sweet lord, some people are made to be impersonated by certain comedians. Sarah Palin and Tina Fey must have been separated at birth.

And I am more afraid than ever that we will elect John “My heart.. stopped… *ZAP* WOO! Okay, I’m back” McCain and then Palin will be in charge. *shudders*
