Doubt Movie Review

Most of the attention for Doubt, undoubtedly, will be on the performances of its three main roles.  One possible reason for this is the strong performances of Philip Seymour Hoffman, Meryl Streep, and Amy Adams.  Another possibility is the film’s story itself is something of a failure.  This he said / she said tale of involving a priest’s possible improper relationship with a student can’t deliver both sides of the tale and so what is presented as a “shocking” ending instead is little more than an afterthought.
