cahrlie and the chocolate failureThere are so many reasons to remake movies: lack of original ideas, ease of selling a known entity, and the chance to spruce ’em up with new CGI effects and modern production design are among them. One reason that’s not so high on the list is actual creative inspiration. These 10 pointless movies are the typical result of a Hollywood remake. The successful ones are few and far between (Werner Herzog and Darren Aronofsky have a lot to prove in their upcoming remakes of “Bad Lieutenant” and “Robocop,” respectively.), but that doesn’t stop the movie studios from green-lighting them.
