paranormal activity review“Paranormal Activity” opens this weekend in a very small number of cities and George Hickman, our man down in Austin, TX for Fantastic Fest 2009, has a capsule review of the much-hyped low-budget horror flick right here. That post also has a review of the new movie by Jared Hess (“Napolean Dynamite”) called “Gentlemen Broncos,” which stars Sam Rockwell and Jemaine Clement.

Lars Von Trier’s “Antichrist” was screened to much scorn, praise, and controversy earlier this year at Cannes, and now we’ve seen it. George filed his second report from the festival, including reviews of “Antichrist” and George Clooney in “The Men Who Stare at Goats.” George also covers an off-the-wall Japanese comedy called “Robo-Geisha,” and the British zombie comedy “Doghouse.” Click here to read!
