the revanent 2009Our pal George Hickman has been watching movies in Austin, TX at Fantastic Fest for three straight days nonstop. It sounds like his sleeplessness was rewarded on his third day with a slew of great movies that most of us won’t be able to see for months.

George Romero hosted a surprise screening of his newest zombie movie “Survival of the Dead.” “Toy Story” and “Toy Story 2” were unveiled in a cleaned-up, 3D format. Takashe Miike’s “Yatterman” and Yoshihiro Nakamura’s “Fish Story” were unspooled, as well as “The Revenant,” D. Kerry Prior’s hilarious zombie comedy, which George says is the funniest since “Shaun of the Dead.” Sorry, “Zombieland”! Click here to get the scoop on all of these movies.
