I so want to see this. The Barnes Foundation: A collection of art worth $25 billion, including more than 800 paintings and more than 2,500 objects. The Art of the Steal, a new documentary by Don Argott (Rock School), takes a look at the foundation (which includes several works by Claude Monet, Pablo Picasso, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Paul Cézanne, Henri Matisse, and others) and the legal battle to move the collection from Lower Merion Township to Philadelphia. The documentary has made the festival circuit over the past few months (it was an official selection at Toronto, New York, and AFI Fest), and has been picked up by IFC Films, but no word as of yet on when the rest of us might get a look at the film.
