Thoughts on Planet Comicon and Helen Slater

This weekend was Planet Comicon, and although I walked out with far less awesome than last year (and a nasty cold that’s kept me home for the past couple days) I did want to give a shout out to Helen Slater.

Although she’s a relatively newcomer to the festival circuit, from the moment she walked in she owned the room. She was, well, the only word I can use to describe her is “bubbly.”

Slater took time to discuss her movies (including the film I’ll always remember her most fondly for), her musical career, her time at the New York High School of Performing Arts, and even sang us all a song. Pretty cool.

Thanks, Supergirl!

Was she the incestuous aunt?
