top 10 nuclear war moviesDuring the first Cold War of the 50s/60s and the second Cold War of the Reagan era, the fear of nuclear war invaded mainstream culture in a pretty big way.

Now it seems that every sci-fi move coming out in the last five years (“I Am Legend,” “The Book of Eli,” “The Road”) has a post-apocalyptic setting and a lot of the horror flicks, while not always nuclear in nature (“28 Days Later,” “Zombieland,” “The Crazies”), are not far behind.

For today’s Top 10 Tuesday, contributor Shelby Thomas has put together an impressive list of some of these Cold War classics. What’s even cooler is that most of them are now available to watch for free online, so links have been included as well!
