To mark the 50th Anniversary of Dr. Martens the company enlisted the help of ten bands to each record their version of “cult classic tracks that represent the spirit of Dr. Martens over the past five decades.” One of those bands was The Noisettes who tackle the Buzzcocks‘ “Ever Fallen in Love (With Someone You Shouldn’t’ve)” here.

You can also check out some behind-the-scenes footage of the band recording the song and video. The reaction to this being played around offices on Friday was mixed. Aaron was firmly straddling the fence, I kinda liked the band’s take, and our pal Mean Melin was decidedly against the video’s lack of rock. After the jump you can check Buzzcocks performing the song back in 1978 to help make your own conclusions.
