Every now and then, when I get the chance, I go through Hulu’s list of free flicks looking for a diamond in the rough. Orson Welles’ 1946 film The Stranger might not be his best (though it was his biggest box office hit), but this tale of a Nazi hunter (Edward G. Robinson) and Connecticut university professor (Welles) married to the daughter (Loretta Young) of Supreme Court justice, is certainly worth a look if you’ve never seen it. What else are you going to do on a lazy rainy Sunday afternoon?
