Doctor Who and the infinite temporal flux

So, I’ve been going back and watching the new Doctor Who from the beginning. Here are some random thoughts:

1. I really, really wish there were more Christopher Eccleston episodes.
2. “The Girl in the Fireplace” is still one of my favorites.
3. The infinite temporal flux really is like Back to the Future.
4. Martha Jones, in my humble opinion, is still a better companion than Rose Tyler.
5. K-9 is still awesome!!!

Ah, but have you seen any of the new season? Smith’s Doctor, and the new companion, Amy Pond, have some fantastic chemistry.

Don’t get me wrong I like Amy, whose history with the Doctor is somewhat similar to Reintte from “The Girl in the Fireplace (she meets him as a child, over time comes to believe he was nothing more than an imaginary friend, he saves her from monsters, and then meets him again years later), and I like her relationship with this Doctor. But so far she’s hasn’t done anything to place her in the group of my favorite companions. I’ll take Martha any day (she did save the world from the Master).

Cap’n, you’d take K-9, the extra annoying Roomba, over Martha Jones. Methinks you’re not allowed a vote in this.

You have forgotten one AMAZING companion here. DONNA NOBLE. The best, in my opinion. Chemistry is fantastic between them, and not in that ‘I fancy you’ sort of way, but in that ‘bickering siblings who deep down love each other’ way. Refreshing and Catherine Tate is hilarious.

Also I cry over Doctor Donna every. single. time.

I agree. Donna is on my list of favorites, and she’d rank higher today than when I originally made my list for ‘buddha.
