I do love me some Wendy’s (even if they did raise the price of my favorite menu item by a whopping 30% without asking me). Whether you’re a fan or not of the fast food franchise you should still get a kick out of this training video for hot drinks featuring Marvin Hawkins. Or, if you prefer cold drinks, this video may be more your style.
Okay, that’s impressive. Check out Nebraska native Tim Halperin‘s music video for “She Runs” done in the style of a a school play – filmed in one continuous shot! You can also check out this behind-the-scenes look at the video’s creation.
This is Los Angeles singer/songwriter Ferraby Lionheart with a fun little music video for “Harry and Bess” from his new album Jack of Hearts. If you’re watching and think, “Hey, that guy doing the guitar solo looks an awful lot like Rainn Wilson,” guess what? You’re right.
Based on the musical of the same name, Bran Nue Dae follows the misadventures of a teenager (Rocky McKenzie) who attempts to return home to Broome and win back the girl he loves (Jessica Mauboy) after escaping a Catholic Mission run by a strict German priest (Geoffrey Rush). Tom Budge, Missy Higgins, Ernie Dingo, and Deborah Mailman also star. The film begins its limited release in select cities on September 10th.
Check out this VideoSong of “Things You Think” pairing Ben Folds and Nick Hornsby (along with Pomplamoose at the end shilling the new album). Lonely Avenue, with music by Folds and lyrics by Hornsby, will be available starting September 28th.
This weekend, A-lister extraordinaire George Clooney continues his 12-year streak of picking movies that are a little left of center with “The American,” a slow-moving drama that’s kind of a throwback to 70s art-house fare.
It wasn’t always that way for the man who personifies modern Hollywood, as early roles in “Batman and Robin” and “One Fine Day” prove, but Clooney remains one of the most eminently watchable leading men around.
