Wonder Woman headed to the small screen?

It appears Superman isn’t the only DC character getting a fresh start. Ally McBeal writer David E. Kelley has been tapped by Warner Bros. and DC Comics to write and produce a new live-action Wonder Woman television show. I’m a big fan of Ally McBeal, less so of Kelley’s other shows (Boston Legal, The Practice, Boston Public), and it’s an interesting pairing to say the least.

You also have to wonder if the recent revamp of Wonder Woman away from her classic look to something you might see on a show like Smallville played into the decision. As of now it’s still early, but among the decisions Kelley will face includes how much of the Amazons and Themyscira to write into the show as well as the arduous process of casting of Diana.
