Every show has a turning point, the question is will this Third Season finale by Castle‘s? The escape from prison of a man (Max Martini) involved in the death of Beckett’s mother sends the department into full-scale investigation mode, and Beckett (Stana Katic) over the edge. The result of which will reveal one member of the team knows far more about her mother’s murder than he’s ever let on, and, ultimately Castle’s (Nathan Fillion) true feelings for his partner.

Amidst the craziness Castle and Beckett sit down to have a conversation they have been putting off for three years. As a surprise to no one, it ends in a fight. As does a late realization by Ryan (Seamus Dever) and Espisito (Jon Huertas) who uncover a secret so damaging neither can properly deal with it.

The fallout of the episode will no doubt mean a few changes for Season Four. I’m hoping the final scene’s confession won’t be wasted or washed away do to the circumstances surrounding it (although I’d doubtful). It’s well past time these two got together. Here’s hoping next season has a little romance to go with the humor, zaniness, and mystery of the week.
