Firefly veterans Nathan Fillion and Sean Maher have both tweeted that Joss Whedon’s version of Much Ado About Nothing starring various members of Whedon’s previous shows (including Amy Acker and Alexis Denisof as Beatrice and Benedick) is indeed real, and happening, they swear. I’m certainly intrigued by the idea, especially as a web-series, but I guess we’ll have to wait and see what the real story is after Whedon gets down with this super-hero movie he’s working on.
If the story is true, it appears Whedon and friends were “secretly” working on the project while working on The Avengers. The Huffington Post has more on the story here.
