We’re going into the WABAC Machine for this music video, back to a time when hair bands ruled the Earth. Thanks to our pal Eric for sending us this video for Canadian rockers April Wine‘s 1982 hit “If You See Kay”* from their album Power Play.

Ya, April Wine was not, and is not considered a ‘hair band’. They started up in 1969 and just happened to crossover into the 80s and happened to have long hair. Twisted Sister, Warrant, Poison, Motley Crue? Hair bands. April Wine? Not hair band.

I wondered if someone would make a comment on that. If you re-read closely you’ll notice at no point do I refer to them as a hair band, I’m referring to the time period this video hit the airwaves. I only refer to April Wine as “Canadian Rockers,” which I think you’ll agree is fair.

I took it as an inference. I stand corrected. :)
