Take a few minutes to check out this video which takes a frank look at PROTECT-IP Act which would effectively criminalize all sorts of standard web content including music playing in the background of videos, footage of people dancing, kids playing video games, and people performing cover songs. If the bill passes, even linking to pages where these exists would technically be a crime. How much (besides the obvious loss of freedom, of course) will we be paying for this governmental service? This can be yours, right now, for the low, low cost of $47 million tax dollars a year (for enforcement). If you like to find content on the Internet (crazy us, right?) and are moved by the video head here to sign a petition to fight the bill.
