This may have nothing to do with this post, but Gary Oldman in 5th Element just makes the movie that much better. I don’t think anybody could have played Jean-Baptiste Emanuel Zorg as well as him.

Wait, you’re talking about the movie where a giant ball of pure evil calls a man at his office only to be put on hold by his secretary? There’s really nothing that can make that movie better, except perhaps the thoroughly brutal MST3K treatment it so richly deserves.

Gary Oldman makes every movie better. Perhaps he should have been in John Carter.
