stitchers-finally

While investigating the murder of a medical research assistant (Erinn Westbrook) who was working on system to bring back lost memories caused by traumatic events Kirsten (Emma Ishta) gets a small glimmer into the black hole of her childhood showing us why she’s such a natural at stiching by revealing her current job is far from the first time she has undergone the procedure. Those memories, along with a message hidden in the tape her legal guardian left her moves forward the mystery into the odd woman’s past leading to a key which may literally unlock secrets.

The show continues to struggle to make any of its storylines remotely plausible or make good use of its supporting cast, although Kirsten and Camille‘s (Allison Scagliotti) unusual friendship has become one of its strengths. Once again Kirsten puts herself in danger for a job she’s qualified for but has no real emotional investment in (and wasn’t there a cop that was supposed to be watching her back when situations just like this arose?). She also comes face-to-face with Leslie Turner (Oded Fehr) who although cryptic is far more open with Kirsten than Maggie (Salli Richardson-Whitfield) about the many questions Kirsten has about herself, the man who raised her, and the true purpose of the Sticher program.
