One of the few issues to of Marvel’s Star Wars title giving us the big three all working together, Star Wars #22 features the Rebellion’s heist of an Imperial Star Destroyer under the guise of blowing up the ship and all hands on-board. Battling the Imperial Fleet while using a stealth aboard the ship (and a little luck), our heroes are able to execute the first part of their plan.

“Return of the Kyber Saber” concludes the show’s season long arc involving the search for the Kyber Saber Crystals. With Naare (Grey Griffin) in control of the reconstituted Kyber Saber and on her way to Courscant to take over the Empire, the Freemakers make one last-ditch effort to get the powerful artifact and keep it out of the hands of the Sith. The finale offers Palpatine (Trevor Devall) on the run from the bloodthirsty Naare and Rowan (Nicolas Cantu) continuing to surprise with his growing Force abilities. With the quest complete the episode teases possible new adventures for the Rowan, Zander (Eugene Byrd), and Kordi (Vanessa Lengies) should the show be renewed for a second season.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season Ten comes to a close by concluding the “Own It” story arc and having the Scoobies come together once more to stop a big bad. In the battle against D’Hoffryn our heroes find an unexpected ally as the vengeance demon discovers he may have made the new Anya a little too well. Granting her boss’ wish, Anya is able not only to satiate her own need for vengeance but also give Buffy and her pals a fighting chance.

arrow-season-four-dvdIn the show’s Fourth Season, Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) is pulled out of retirement and returns to Star City to battle supernatural criminal Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough). Flashback tend to the supernatural as well as Ollie works to prevent soldiers from finding a mystical item hidden somewhere on the island.

While not the show’s strongest season, there is plenty to enjoy. Highlights include the multi-episode crossover with The Flash used to launch The CW’s new spin-off, the team struggling to deal with a death of their own, the appearance of Vixen (Megalyn Echikunwoke), Darhk kidnapping Oliver’s friends, John Constantine‘s (Matt Ryan) arrival in Star City, the introduction of Tom Amandes as both the Calculator and Felicity‘s (Emily Bett Rickards) father, and trust issues for Diggle and Oliver to work through.
