This is the sad-but-true story of a bear who loved to party and a drunk who loved to drink. Potapych the Bear Who Loved Vodka and his caretaker Misha are connoisseurs of any brand of vodka. The two misfits become Russia’s legendary entertainers and set ablaze the skies above fairytale Moscow.

alphamonkey sez: Darren Price is responsible for this cool animated short, and I heartily recommend a viewing if for nothing else than a truly imaginative and beautiful animation style

The anti-corporate farming parody of The Matrix is back to educate consumers about why corporate mega farms aren’t good for anyone, least of all you.  Behold, The Meatrix II: Revoltin’.

alphamonkey sez: Oddly enough, we ran the first Meatrix post the same month as the first Bow Man post.  How weirdly coincidental is that?

Kenneth Anderson took 8 months to complete this 5 minute short film for his honours year project on the Animation and Electronic Media course at DOJ College of Art, Dundee.  Transcendance is a beautifully animated bit about a monk confronting his inner demons.  Via Kung Fu, of course.

I got only one thing to say about this crazy flash animation:

If Jesus was a dinosaur… I’m going to ride him!!

alphamonkey sez:Tim Farrell’s work has caught my eye before, and I love the sense of overexcited weirdness he brings to everything.

A Barbaric Tale

Beautiful animation by Richard Vaucher about a Barbarian on a quest to recover something precious which was stolen from him.

CG animation made to look drawn in the Disney/Bluth style.
