The disagreement over how to shoot a feature film between it’s producer and cinematographer gets the xtranormal treatment here. Cute, but slightly NSFW due to language.

It appears that DC Comics is finally ready with it’s MMO DC Universe Online, which is scheduled to hit millions of comic book nerd’s computers this November, but don’t take out word for it. Here’s X-Play‘s Adam Sessler with a sneak peak of the new online world of DC heroes.
Bit Rebels has a small collection of stenciled Star Wars-themed graffiti art worth a look or two.

This isn’t a recommendation, per se, but in a week that gives you as slim pickings in the Blu-ray an DVD department you start looking around to see what’s flying under the radar. It’s as far away from high-minded entertainment as you can get, but I’ll admit to liking this film more than I should have.
Odds are you missed DOA: Dead or Alive when it breezed through theaters three years ago. Already come and gone once on Blu-ray, the film got a re-realease this week.
Loosely adapted from the video game series of the same name, the film follows a group of fighters (including Jaime Pressly, Devon Aoki, Holly Valance, Sarah Carter and Natassia Malthe) chosen to compete in a secret tournament on a tropical island. Now throw in bikinis, training montages, fantasy scenes, and a spontaneous beach volleyball match.
Ridiculous? Hell yeah, but kinda fun, too. You’ll probably have to search for it online as most stores (even Best Buy & Borders? for shame!) aren’t stocking it, but for the right audience (and you know who you are) it’s a very guilty pleasure.

Little gossipy bits about Darren Aronofsky’s Black Swan have been hitting the net for awhile now (most dealing with a sex-charged scene between Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis). Now there’s finally a trailer. Take a look at this psychological thriller between two dancers of the New York City Ballet. Winona Ryder, Vincent Cassel, and Barbara Hershey also star. The film will begin a limited release in select cities on December 1st.
From the Upright Citizens Brigade comes this comedic, and definitely NSFW, music video featuring Ray Bradbury’s biggest fan* Rachel Bloom.

What’s that? You want a little surf rock? If you insist, here’s Brian Wilson with “Forever She’ll Be My Surfer Girl.”
From this trailer You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger looks like a lesser work from writer/director Woody Allen (sorry Ry). The film does boast a pretty good cast (Josh Brolin, Anthony Hopkins, Naomi Watts, Freida Pinto, Lucy Punch, and Antonio Banderas), even if it does feel a little too familiar. You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger is set to start hitting theaters on September 22nd.
