A Broadway musical based on the classic Addams Family cartoon? With Nathan Lane and Bebe Neuwirth? Get me some tickets to that!
The official site has more information about the musical, coming next Spring to Broadway, including a short audio track from authors Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice.
Feel free to wish teh ‘monkey birthday congratulations (I mean who would have thought he’d live this long?). It seems like only yesterday that he was sprung fully-formed from the head of Zeus (well, that’s his story anyway). Coincidentally it’s also our pal Eric from Scene-Stealers birthday as well. Happy, happy guys!
As you may have noticed by glancing at a calendar we’re rapidly approaching the 4th of July. For next Thursday we’re looking for a good Top Ten or two inspired by the upcoming holiday. And we’re looking to you. That’s right true believers! Now’s your chance to get your own Top Ten published on the site! Feel free to cover anything you wish as long as it fits into the theme of the holiday: movies, specific scenes, songs, whatever. Hey, if you want to do the Top Ten most patriotic super-heroes I’m not gonna’ stop you. Take a look back at some of our past Thursday Top Tens to get a feel what we’re looking for. All we’re asking is you get it to us as soon as possible so we can look it over, make any suggestions or necessary edits. And if you have certain pics or video clips in mind be sure to include links to those as well. Thanks folks!
Tomorrow’s the first Saturday in May and you know what that means! Wait, you don’t? Well let me tell ‘ya! Every first Saturday in May comic book stores are sent free comics to give away! Yeah, free comics! FREE COMICS! Okay, so the quality of some of these isn’t always up to snuff, but still. They’re free! Check out the list on what you can look for this year. Also worth noting, to kick off the event, several comic shops (sadly none around here) are hosting artists and writers offering to sign said merchandise (you can find a list by state here). So get up tomorrow morning and go get yourself some free comics. Oh, and did I mention, they’re FREE!
With the latest of the franchise, Quantum of Solace, hitting theaters on Friday your pals over at RazorFine are celebrating all things Bond. Check out Bond Week so far and make sure to check back for additional posts throughout the week and come back Friday for our review of the film.
I’ll be honest: There is but a single topic of which I can formulate even a single coherent thought, and I’m relatively certain no one is all that excited to get my thoughts on the minute-by-minute movements of the electoral process.
