It begins with a cowboy waking up in the desert with no memory of who he is and ends with cowboys and Indians fighting aliens for gold. Yeah, you heard me, gold.
Although I enjoyed it, with a title like Cowboys and Aliens I expected the film to be a little zanier, goofier, and far more of a fun summer popcorn flick. What director Jon Favreau delivers is entertaining, at times, but it also feels unimaginative and uninspired.
This looks ridiculous enough to possibly be fun (or awful enough to make you want to claw your eyes out). Rather than share the actual synopsis of The Warriors Way I’ll attempt to piece one together from the trailer… A super-cool ninja assassin with a heart of gold (Dong-gun Jang) leaves his homeland for the old west to grow flowers in the desert, hang out with the town drunk (Geoffrey Rush) and mack on Kate Bosworth. Quite unexpectedly, he puts everyone in danger when a bunch of other ninjas hunt him down. The ninja cowboy movie is set for an early December release.
