Disobeying orders, Luke and Prithi head out in search of the rest of the squadron. Finding the group and a severely wounded Leia in an equally damaged X-Wing, the pilots put their heads together and come up with a plan to trap the Star Destroyer Devastator and the TIE Intereptors quickly closing in on their location.

Usagi Yojimbo #144 concludes the two-part storyline that began last month as the rabbit ronin helps out a soy sauce from a ruthless competitor. The second issue gives us a little more action than last month as well as a few more snippets of information for anyone who has ever been curious about the (far more complex than I had expected) process of making soy sauce.

I understand full well that Star Wars comics are a mixed bag. Although I’m a fan of the Expanded Universe novels that have continued the tales of Luke, Han, Leia and their children, the expanded comics stories have more misses than hits.

After a week off, we’re back for 2 weeks of comic-goodness! There’s a whole mess of great this week, and what could possibly be better than listen to two rambling fools tackle the pulls of the week?

But wait! There’s more! Aaron and Alan tackle Tintin, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, and Mission Impossible – Ghost Protocol, as well as weigh in on the trailer for a particular bat-themed vigilante.

Like total chumps we overlooked the release of Atomic Robo: The Ghost of Station X #4 (probably because the Cap’n & I are sad our dearest holiday wish for Atomic Robo figures has yet to see fruition), but holy crap: this is one of the best comics going this season, and if you’re not reading it you should be ashamed of yourself.

The world without magic storyline continues as Buffy and the Scoobies are faced with two oddities that need answering. The second is the overly aggressive nature of vampires who have been sired since the Seed was destroyed.

We’re back! The Cap’n and I sit down to chew over the nearly Final Fantasy-like quality of January Jones’ acting, Marvel going full-monty digital, and..um… Uh, hold on. The EPA? Wait, no…give me a minute. Um…. Oh yeah, our picks and pans from the last two weeks of comics! Bonus segment: reader mail!

It’s time once again to FREAK-OUT, four color style! Marvel knocks it out of the park this week with a satisfying wrap-up to Spider-Island, and issue #1 of Wolverine & the X-Men (Bobby & Aaron’s pick o’ the week), while DC makes the last week of the month extra easy on your wallet. Also on deck: Captain America: The First Avenger on Bluray, why superheroes kick Barbie’s ass, the frustrating genius of Joss Whedon, and of course – Desert Burger.

Listen! Listen now, before the T-Rex breaks free of his pen! Or you know, save it for later and listen on iTunes. Whichever.
