We now have our first full-length trailer for Monsters University, the prequel to Monsters Inc. which reunites John Goodman and Billy Crystal as the voices of Sulley and Mike Wazowski who instantly become hyper-competitive while training to become Scarers at Monsters University. Steve BuscemiBen KingsleyHelen MirrenDavid SpadeAlfred MolinaCharlie DayRicky GervaisFrank Oz, and Dave Foley all add their voices to the project as well. As part of their promotion for the upcoming Monsters, Inc. prequel Pixar has created an official website for Monsters University complete with pages about the students, campus, academics, and even an online campus store to pick up that four-sleeved MU hoodie you’ve been eyeing. Well done. Monsters University (which opens in theaters on June 21st) tells the story of how Sulley (John Goodman) and Mike (Billy Crystal) met in college.


Hotel Transylvania

I usually enjoy animated films in all shapes and sizes, but I can sum up my heightened interest for Hotel Transylvania in two words – Genndy Tartakovsky. For those who don’t recognize the name, Tartakovsky is responsible for creating Dexter’s Laboratory, Star Wars: Clone Wars, and a little slice of awesome known as Samurai Jack. Tartakovsky also help produce The Powerpuff Girls (and write my favorite episode of the series).

Disney has released the first teaser for Monsters University, the prequel to Monsters, Inc. set to hit theaters next summer which returns John Goodman and Billy Crystal as monsters-in-training James P. “Sulley” Sullivan and Mike Wazowski. Steve Buscemi, Ken Jeong, John Ratzenberger, Kelsey Grammer, Rob Riggle, Frank Oz, and Dave Foley also lend their voices to the project. Monsters University opens everywhere on June 21, 2013.
