magisso cake serverStill got a little X-mas cash burning a hole in your pocket, but looking for something a little different to spend it on? Here are a few gadgets you might want to keep your eye out for (including the obligatory SW-inspired one):

Who wants regular ice cubes when you can make your own LEGO ice cubes with the LEGO ice cube tray! [$7.99]

Love lightsabers and in need of a new portable music device after throwing you iPod across the room at your cat? Maybe you should give Star Wars Light Saber Kei MP3 Player a try. [$23.90]

Cutting a cake or pie has never been simpler with this Norwegian designed Magisso Cake Server. [$60]

Do you like to sit by the fire, but it’s too far away from your favorite chair. Now that trouble is gone with the Rolling Fireplace. What could possibly go wrong here? [Cost of burning down you home with a rolling fireplace – Priceless]

You remember the Nebulon-B Class Medical Frigate from the end of The Empire Strikes Back? Of course you do, who doesn’t. Well this enterprising individual created his own version out of LEGOs. And it even includes a small Millennium Falcon.

slauerhoffbrugMeet “Slauerhoffbrug.” This bridge (which can be found in the city of Leeuwarden of the Netherlands) is lifted off the road by a giant robotic arm.

Yes, it’s real.

Go ahead, take a moment.

[I know, right?]

Done?

Okay, we will gladly admit it’s pretty freakin’ sweet… at least until the day Skynet takes over and goes all smashy smashy on oncoming traffic.

Check out more pics, including overhead shots of the bridge in motion, here.

redshirt cologneAh, the fragrance of doom. If you’ve ever wanted to smell like a Red Shirt (and if so, please let us know why), now’s your chance with Star Trek Red Shirt Cologne.

“It’s a daring men’s fragrance for those brave enough to place no trust in tomorrow.”

Or, if you’re more of a take charge kinda guy, maybe you want to try Star Trek Tiberius Cologne. (I hear it’s the scent those green-skinned ladies really go for)

As novelty gifts go I must admit these have some charm, but would you actually wear it (other than to a Star Trek Convention)?

Batman: The Animated Series Bible

batman animated bibleOkay, I’m a big fan of Batman: The Animated Series, which is one of the best super-hero cartoons ever made (maybe even the best). So I’m not ashamed to admit I giggled with glee on hearing that the original Writer’s Bible for the show was available online. It includes everything from a mission statement for the show to short bios for all the main characters. Very, very cool. Thanks to the Invincible Chris Sims for bringing this to our attention.

in Star Wars

Now I’m a big Star Wars nerd, but a shrine to Princess Leia in the slave girl costume is taking it many, many levels too far.

slave leia collection

To be fair, this is only one part of dr34m1986’s Princess Leia Collection. Though I’m not sure whether that makes it better or worse.
