With the permission of Warner Bros., show creator Rob Thomas and star Kristen Bell are looking for fan support to help pull off a Veronica Mars movie just in time for Ms. Mars 10th high school reunion. If the $2,000,000 goal is reached Thomas plans to go into production as soon as schedule conflicts allow and have the movie available for release by summer of next year. Head here for more information, read the heartfelt thanks from Bell to all the show’s fans, and to pledge your support.

UPDATE: The film raised their $2 million goal in less than 11 hours, shattering all Kickstarter records but is still accepting donations to maximize the ability to put out the best film possible.

There are characters we fall in love with. The perfect mix of actor and writer that breathes magic onto the screen or inside the television. Once part of the cool crowd, now totally embracing her outsider status, Veronica Mars was everything you wanted her to be, and more.

Teh ‘monkey may make fun of me for sharing this, but as my love for Veronica Mars knows no bounds that won’t stop me. Here’s a nice collection of Veronica Mars screencaps (one per episode) fans will enjoy. On a personal note, if the tumblr owner stacyanne could grab the shot of Veronica with the Minnie Mouse double bun-style hairdo, I’d be eternally grateful.

Experimental New York rock band Yeasayer has put out a music video for “Madder Red” from their second self-produced album Odd Blood. The video stars Kristen Bell dealing with the passing of one of the most unique pets of all time. Thanks to our pal Eric, understanding my still-unwavering Veronica Mars crush, for sending this our way.
